Note on Milwaukee Battery Selection:

If using the M18 Battery Adapter, all M18 Batteries will work to power the device, however the largest battery that will fit and allow the case to close is the 5.0.  Larger Batteries will fit with modification to the TEDS connector plate, but this is not recomended or needed as a 5.0AH Battery will run standard trailer lights in excess of 10 hours.

We are guys that use trailers daily, and built the TEDS units around what we need, not some lab doing market research.  We would build a prototype, use it in real situations for a month, then make changes and add features.
